Flint Group presents innovative solutions at ProFlex, stand #28
From 16th-17th March 2016, the DFTA symposium and ProFlex will take place again at the University of Media in Stuttgart. Visitors are invited to experience the exciting variety of products and solutions offered by the flexo and packaging printing sector and can look forward to a comprehensive event programme. At stand #28, Flint Group’s experts will be available to discuss the latest developments and innovative ideas for the future.
Flint Group Flexographic Products presents the new rotec® Lightweight Sleeve, a hard-coated sleeve for conventional plate mounting with adhesive tapes, which offers weight savings up to 40% compared to standard sleeves. Additionally it meets a range of customers’ requirements in the mid to wide web and pre-print sector. Now, maximum weight limits in the pressroom, shorter and easier press setups, or missing adapter configurations can easily be managed. A new feature makes the sleeve even more attractive: The entire edge is sealed with an aluminum plate, which protects the sleeve from exposure to cleaning liquids, inks or solvents and prevents unnatural diameter growth of the sleeve. rotec® Lightweight Sleeves are available in rotec® Omega Surface Technology for use of solvent based inks as well as with other well-known features like the rotec® Stainless Steel Register Ring.
Another highlight will be the new nyloflex® FTF Digital plate. This plate was introduced into the market in the summer of 2015, and provides the Easy Way to Flat Top Dots. The plate offers significant complexity reduction and efficiency gain for the reproduction of Flat Top Dots, as it can be processed like any standard digital plate – no changes, additional equipment, processes or consumables are needed. Furthermore, a special surface texture eliminates the need for time consuming surface screening. Additionally, the plate offers reliable high quality and consistency.
Flint Group Packaging and Narrow Web presents Premo®Film SXS/2, the latest generation of water-based inks for printing on film. This VOC-free technology has been developed and optimised for high quality flexo printing. Designed for surface and reverse printing on polyolefin films, Premo®Film SXS/2 is a self-cross-linking technology combining improved end-use properties (fastness properties) with good resolubility and excellent printability on press. This allows the widest range of end-use applications possible including collation shrink, deep freeze and hygienic packaging as well as outdoor applications in combination with Polyethylene heavy-duty sack qualities.
When using Premo®Film SXS/2, the converter will benefit from a very high colour strength, low consumption and superior mileage. This also facilitates the usage of finest anilox rollers to meet the requirements of future-oriented half tone printing in flexo.
Flint Group’s experts further offer the latest developments in Polyurethane (PU)-based ink systems for high performance lamination printing, VarioLam AB-LEC. This new ink range is especially designed for flexographic printing and combines high colour strength with good printability and very low solvent retention.
